helping Hair Growth
2 main areas to address; the easier one is women and their hair.
Men who are concerned with hair loss are harder to help. I mean, if I had all the answers, I'd have a big 'ole fro or dreads now. But I don't - my hairstyle resembles a tennis ball, or maybe a kiwi.
To my credit, I have managed to hang on to some fuzz, so it ain't much but I like my fuzz, and encourage it; methods that I use to follow;
If I address women's hair concerns first, then most of that applies to men too, with some extra hormonal help added on for the guys.
Nutrition for Everyone's Hair
Hair follicles make hair. Hair is dead, but the follicles are very much alive and they need all the essential nutrients to be happy and (hair) productive.
Particularly, what I have had positive feedback about for hair growth is;
Men
Men often lose their hair from male pattern baldness caused by testosterone. Testosterone in men is converted at a fairly high rate into DHT, even by the follicles and it's thought to drive MPB. Men with severe testosterone deficiencies do not lose their hair. The other key factor for men is genetics. If you are blessed with good hair genes, then no amount of testosterone will cause you to lose your hair, you lucky bastards, lol.
Saw Palmetto is a herb which famously helps prostate health, by reducing the production of DHT (dihydrotestosterone, mentioned above), which is a bit of a 'bad guy' for prostate troubles and hair loss.

Particularly, what I have had positive feedback about for hair growth is;
- multi-mineral supplements
- seaweed (in pill form or eaten in the diet)
- silica - an essential mineral that men and women have given me feedback about. Specifically with Silicea Gel, a tasteless chalky liquid product from Germany.
- biotin an often forgotten B vitamin, in big doses, 1000 to 5000 mcg (1 to 5 mg, but often measured in mcg instead)

Blocking testosterone from becoming DHT is the key to keeping your hair, and possibly regaining some lost turf. Proscar is a drug which does just that, widely prescribed for prostate problems, but DON'T USE it! Saw palmetto is just as effective in clinical trials and has healthy side effects. FYI Proscar is also prescribed for hair loss in a weaker format called Propecia. Again, it's a drug, it's toxic, and it sucks.
Saw Palmetto
A male hair dresser I knew went on 3 pills of saw palmetto a day and within a few weeks noticed his hair getting stronger and growing thicker! Another method which you can use instead or even concurrently is to apply a dilute solution of Azeleic acid. I ordered 100 grams online, and dissolved it in vodka and am using that, rubbed in topically every morn and eve. Azeleic acid needs alcohol to dissolve. Use drinking alcohol and not isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) since rubbing alcohol is very toxic internally and externally!
